Day 3. Sunday, December 2. Private Entrance - Hawara Pyramid Complex; Illahun Pyramid Complex (B/L/D)
After a leisurely breakfast, we're off for our Full Day at the Fayum Oasis, with a privileged access for you by Gigal to the Hawara Pyramid complex, the canal systems, the hydraulic systems, the labyrinth site, and the Illahun Pyramid complex in the desert. At all of these places we'll visit today, we'll see the latest archaeological excavations. We'll take time for a meditation led by Andrea at one of our stops. Lunch at Al Assiouty restaurant at the nearby Al Assiouty Resort. .Egypt-HawaraPyramid.jpg (10660 bytes)

Amenemhet III was the last powerful ruler of the 12th Dynasty. The pyramid he built at Hawara is believed to post-date the so-called "Black Pyramid" built also built by him at Dashur. It is this that is believed to have been Amenemhet's final resting place. As with other Middle Kingdom pyramids, it was built of mudbrick round a core of limestone passages and burial chambers, and faced with limestone. Most of the facing stone was later pillaged for use in other buildings— a fate common to almost all of Egypt's pyramids— and today the pyramid is little more than an eroded, vaguely pyramidal mountain of mud brick. The entrance to the pyramid is today flooded to a depth of 20 feet / 6 meters as a result of the waters from the Bahr el-Yusuf (Joseph's Canal) canal, which flows around two sides of the site and passes close to the pyramid.

Egypt-HawaraPyramid-Labyrinth.jpg (23968 bytes)The huge mortuary temple that originally stood adjacent to this pyramid is believed to have formed the basis of the complex of buildings with galleries and courtyards called a "labyrinth" by Herodotus, and mentioned by Strabo and Diodorus Siculus. (There is no historicity to the assertion of Diodorus Siculus that this was the model for the labyrinth of Crete that Greeks imagined housed the Minotaur.) The demolition of the "labyrinth" may date in part to the reign of Ptolemy II, under whom the Pharaonic city of Shedyt (Greek Crocodilopolis, the modern Medinet el-Fayum) was renamed to honor his sister-wife Arsinoë. A massive Ptolemaic building program at Arsinoe has been suggested as the ultimate destination of Middle Kingdom limestone columns and blocks removed from Hawara, and now lost.Egypt-Hawara-IllahunPyramid.jpg (14408 bytes)

Lunch with the group on site.  Then we'll visit the Illahun Pyramid complex in the desert, the location that  the early 12th Dynasty Pharaoh Sesostris II choose for his funerary monument. He continued the innovative way of building his pyramid started by his predecessors, demonstrated in the building technique that was used, and also in the groundplan of the pyramid and its surrounding complex, which deviates drastically from the 5th and 6th Dynasty stereotype. The pyramid was built around a core of yellow limestone, around which radial and cross walls were built, forming a framework of relatively small compartments that were filled with mudbricks.

Egypt-Hawara-IllahunPyramid-Internal.jpg (14037 bytes)The inner structure of the pyramid is completely different from those of earlier ones. Contrary to older pyramids, this monument's entrance is not located in the north, but at the bottom of a narrow shaft located near its southeast corner. The entrance shaft was too narrow for the sarcophagus, so a second, wider shaft was dug into the ground at some distance to the south. This second shaft was then hidden beneath a sloping passage to the tomb of an unidentified princess. The entrance shaft opens into a horizontal corridor which runs north to a hall with a vaulted ceiling. In the east of this hall, there is a well dug into the floor. It is not known how deep this well runs, but it is likely that it reached groundwater level. This would have allowed the pit to be filled with some groundwater, which the Ancient Egyptians considered to be the primeval water out of which creation had come into being. By allowing some of this primeval water into the pyramid, the king himself would be able to spring into being as well. This feature has also been found in some tombs of the Valley of the Kings in Thebes, dated some 300 or 400 years after Sesostris II.Egypt-Fayum-IllahunPyramid-Stairs.jpg (26829 bytes)

Photo at the right is of Gigal at the double staircase discovered in 2008 at the feet of the Illahun Pyramid. Gigal says: "It has been very touching to discover two different access ramps, one next to the other, that went up from the place where the water of the artificial Lake Moeris (built by Amenemhat III) was located next to Illahun's structures, with a different angle, which to me is a sign of a gap between two epochs, seemingly unaware of their mutual existence. Why did the first staircase get completely buried and forgotten in the most recent period? And why does the first staircase seem much older than the 12th Dynasty?" Mysteries we'll explore with her!
.
Return to the hotel later afternoon. Take time for a bit of rest and/or enjoy the pool and spa facilities.
Dinner at the hotel, followed by a group meeting during which we’ll share about our experiences. And a Question/Answer session with Gigal, Jan Peter and Andrea.
Overnight Fayum Oasis. 5***** Helnan Auberge Hotel

Day 4. Monday, December 3. Private Entrance - Golden Temple (B/L/D)
Egypt-GoldenTemple-1.jpg (15250 bytes)After breakfast we head out in 4x4 jeeps for our trip into the desert to visit the Golden Temple of Qasr el Sagha, with private access for you by Gigal. This temple, with its ancient megalithic construction, is very different from other temples in Egypt. Gigal believes it dates from the Old Kingdom or even before, and that it was originally on the shore of Lake Fayoum. Now only stone blocks remain. The indigenous Wisdom Keepers say it was covered with gold, thus the name of Golden Temple. There were many gold mines in the surrounding area. Its huge megalithic construction uses huge blocks intricately hewn with interlocking faces much the same as seen in Peru; with no mortar but able to withstand great structural disturbances such as earthquakes. We'll discuss this similarity with Jan Peter.  We enjoy a long visit of the site and the surrounding area. Excellent photo opportunities for desert shots. Time allowing, we’ll visit the small mountain behind the temple.

Lunch with the group on-site, a time to share and discuss our experiences. As well, we'll have time for a meditation, facilitated by Andrea.

Later afternoon we return to the hotel. Free time. Dinner and discussion with Gigal, Jan Peter and Andrea.
Overnight Fayum Oasis. 5***** Helnan Auberge Hotel

Day 5. Tuesday, December 4. Meidum Pyramid; To Cairo (B/L/D)
Egypt-MeidumPyramid-1.jpg (12335 bytes)We check out of the hotel after breakfast and depart via our private air-conditioned motorcoach to the mysterious Meidum Pyramid for visit with Gigal to the mysterious Meidum Pyramid and famous mastaba. Thought to have been started by Huni, the last ruler of the 3rd Dynasty, and completed by his son, Sneferu, the first pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty this was originally a seven-stepped pyramid and was later enlarged to an eight-stepped one. The steps were filled in and a smooth outer facing turned itEgypt-Fayum-MeidumPyramid-Wall-Deposit.jpg (13413 bytes) into a true pyramid. We'll take the entrance into the pyramid and descend through a passageway. Pay attention to the walls as you go. There are deposits of quartz crystal that bring up the question as to the real age of this shaft. At the level below the pyramid's foundation, the passageway levels out and becomes a vertical shaft that leads up to the "burial chamber". With its corbelled roof and walls lined in limestone, this ancient vault makes an excellent area for sound alchemy, or toning. We’ll take time for this, followed by silent meditation. Listen carefully in the silence; do you hear the frequency of the pyramid? Also, what does your psychic archaeology sense tell you about this pyramid? Open to receive your Gift of Spirit.

Lunch at a nearby restaurant with a view of the Meidum Pyramid.

We continue our drive to Cairo, arriving in Giza later afternoon. Check in at our luxurious hotel near the Pyramids, "home" for the next six nights, as we continue to explore the mysteries of ancient Egypt. Take some time to relax from our day; perhaps enjoy the pool.
Dinner at the hotel, during which we’ll share about our experiences today. Afterwards Gigal will give us an introduction for our visit to Dashur tomorrow.
Overnight Giza. 4**** Cataract Pyramids Resort, with a beautiful view of the Pyramids. Sakkara Road, El Haraneya, Giza
Egypt-Giza-CataractPyramidsResort-1.jpg (22414 bytes)   Egypt-Giza-CataractPyramidsResort-2.jpg (29755 bytes)

Day 6. Wednesday, December 5. Dashur: Red and Bent Pyramids; Memphis; Nile Dinner Cruise (B/L/D)Egypt-Dashur-RedPyramid.jpg (5525 bytes)
After breakfast we depart to visit the Dashur Pyramids complex, the Bent and Red Pyramid with Gigal, located on the southern border of Bu Wizzer, the "Land of Osiris". First we'll explore the Red Pyramid, possibly a Per Neter ("house of nature") built out of limestone and granite to function as an energy device. We'll explore this theory and test it first-hand during our meditation facilitated by Andrea, when we experience the acoustic harmonic resonance of the structure by using our voices to intone the sacred frequencies, perhaps as the priests and priestesses did in ancient times. Once it's enlivened, this powerful energy system will support your initiatory journey to take you to deeper places inside yourself and higher states of consciousness.

Egypt-Dashur-BentPyramid-1.jpg (15532 bytes)Afterwards we'll stop nearby for a view of the Bent Pyramid, built in the distant past from locally quarried limestone. What is the reason for the bend in the construction. With our Gigal we'll explore various theories. Does the bend in the construction of the outer surface produce two different sound frequencies, and thus two different energies? Egyptology says the structure was built by the Pharaoh Sneferu. Other theories say that it was built by the pre-dynastic Egyptians, and that the name Sneferu was not the name of any person, but rather that it  translates as "double harmony", thus indicating its purpose as a resonance device with two different angles which produces two different tones. As we make our way through this amazing area, focus to receive the ancient energies into your heart, through your mind, in the way of the Ancient Ones   living here in the past who believed the heart was in the mind.

After our morning's explorations, we enjoy lunch a local restaurant in Saqqara. Egypt-Memphis-1.jpg (13243 bytes)

This afternoon we visit Memphis and colossal statue of Ramses II. Memphis was the ancient capital of the first nome of Lower Egypt.  According to legend related by Manetho, the city was founded by the pharaoh Menes around 3000 BCE. Capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it remained an important city throughout ancient Mediterranean history. It occupied a strategic position at the mouth of the Nile delta, and was home to feverish activity. Its principal port, Peru-nefer, harboured a high density of workshops, factories, and warehouses that distributed food and merchandise throughout the ancient kingdom. During its golden age, Memphis thrived as a regional center for commerce, trade, and religion. The city was believed to be under the protection of Ptah, the Neter of craftsmen. Its great temple, Hut-ka-Ptah (meaning "Enclosure of the ka of Ptah"), was one of the most prominent structures in the city. The name of this temple, rendered in Greek as Ai-gy-ptos by the historian Manetho, is believed to be the etymological origin of the modern English name Egypt.

We return to the hotel later afternoon. Time for a bit of rest before we depart for our enchanting dinner cruise on a boat on the Nile.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight Giza. 4**** Cataract Pyramids Resort

Day 7. Thursday, December 6. Saqqara; Private Entrance - Serapeum (B/L/D)Egypt-Sakkara-Serapeum-2.jpg (20195 bytes)
Egypt-Sakkara-Serapeum-1.jpg (34854 bytes)This morning we're off to Saqqara! Gigal and Sacred Sites Journeys have arranged a rare treat for you today - the special opening of the Serapeum undergrounds.  This building is said by Egyptologists to have been associated with the cult of the Apis bulls, and to have been built during the 18th Dynasty. The bull was considered to be an incarnation of Ptah, with a white blaze on its forehead and throat, a red saddle-like mark on its back, and a white belly. They were so important that when they died, a day of national mourning would be declared. After the bull was embalmed, its corpse was taken along the sacred way from Memphis to Saqqara, where it was interred in the Serapeum. We'll explore this theory, as well as others with Gigal.  To read two excellent articles Gigal has written on this very important site, visit: Secrets of the Serapeum at Saqqara, Part 1 and Secrets of the Serapeum, Part 2.

Egypt-Sakkara-StepPyramid.jpg (24080 bytes)Afterwards we visit the site of Saqqara, including the famous Step Pyramid (3rd dynasty, 2630 BCEgypt-Sakkara1.jpg (11020 bytes) officially) of the Pharoah Djoser, built by his grand vizier, Imhotep. We'll discuss the theories with Gigal surrounding the history of this very ancient area. Is the Step Pyramid the world's oldest freestanding stone structure? Then we'll explore the historical and esoteric aspects of this ancient site. Saqqara was dedicated to the Neter Sokar and believed by traditional Egyptologists to be the earliest necropolis, or burial place, for the Pharaohs and royalty of the Memphis area. We enter the site by walking through the temple complex filled with rows of columns, where the indigenous Wisdom Keepers say the ancient priests and priestess used sound to perform healings.

Afterwards we enjoy a lunch of traditional Egyptian cuisine at the Blue Lotus Farm near Saqqara. Then we return to the hotel. You have free time to rest and relax. Or you can join Andrea for an optional visit to local papyrus institute.

Dinner at the hotel, during which we’ll share about our experiences today.
Overnight Giza. 4**** Cataract Pyramids Resort

Day 8. Friday, December 7. Private Entrance - Abusir; Abu Ghurab; Dinner in Nazlet el Samann (B/D)
Egypt-Abusir-1.jpg (17184 bytes)This morning we depart in our private air-conditioned motorcoach for our private entrance into to Abusir, the “City of Osiris”, a special opening for you by Gigal of the huge area full of pyramids and some surprises, including the strange black stone. We'll see the Userkaf Temple, built during the 5th Dynasty by the Pharoah Userkaf. He and his successors were known as the "Sun Kings". He was the first pharaoh to build a sun temple at Abu Gurob (near Abusir), which we'll visit this afternoon. His sun temple, named "Nekhen-Re" ("Stonghold of Ra") included a sun altar and Benben (a truncated obelisk). This temple was a precursor to the sun temples adopted by Akhenaten but was apparently inspired by an earlier sun temple at Iunu (Heliopolis).

The entire area from the Giza Plateau south to Sakkara is believed by many researchers to be remnants of a very ancient pre-dynastic civilization. Abusir was a part of the Memphite necropolis, dedicated to the Neter of Death and Resurrection. Again, however, it's quite probably that the entire site was constructed during the 5th Dynasty on an already-existing site known from the mists of time. We'll enter into the pyramid complex with Gigal, to view the anomolies and the strange black stone.

Afterwards we'll also visit the "off-the-beaten-track" nearby site of Abu Ghurab, with the solar temple of Niuserâ. This is one of the strangest sites in all of Egypt. Egyptologists say that it's part of the Abusir complex of Abusir. Niuserre, sixth Pharaoh of the 5th Dynasty and known as “the favorite of the Two Ladies” and “the Golden Falcon is divine”, built the temple to worship the sun god RA under the open sky. At the foot of the 15 ft tall obelisk, which was modeled after the sun temple at Heliopolis, and its base was a great raised terrace with a large alabaster altar in the middle. The platform upon which the obelisk stood was approached by a long covered passage skirting the terrace on the south and adorned with exquisitely sculptured and painted scenes, some representing the seasons with the flora and fauna created by the sun, while others depicted the Sed-festival, a periodic renewal of the kingship. Everything within the upper temple appears to have been built around a huge obelisk like masonry structure that probably symbolized the benben, which represented Re incarnated. The obelisk like structure was built of limestone blocks, while the pedestal is also made of limestone with a red granite base.

Egypt-AbuGhurob2.jpg (11203 bytes)There are many ancient structures to be found here, such as the disc-shaped limestone dishes with holes and what appear to be locking devices for gears around their circumference. What were they used for? And by whom? Egyptologists say that they were originally situated near the sun temple and were used for slaughter, or some sort of ritual purification involving liquid. No DNA from blood or other evidence supports this theory. However, there is much evidence to support an advanced machining technique. The inner surfaces of the basins are smooth to the touch. And they show signs of circular tool marks. Whoever crafted these enigmatic structures used a technology engineers today are not able to duplicate. The indigenous tradition states that the 5th Dynasty construction was built on top of or used the building blocks and stones from a much earlier pre-dynastic site, which was where the original Neters landed. We'll see colossal red granite blocks weighing several tons that were precision cut, polished and mounted in place as facing stones on the pyramid, laid in place with extraordinary accuracy. There are many possibilities as to the origin of this ancient site, and to the use of these dishes. During our meditation, tune in with your higher senses to the original builders and their usage. Egypt-AbuGhurob1.jpg (10592 bytes)

The main altar, the most powerful energetic center at the site, is the alabaster Hotep, with four sides oriented towards the cardinal directions and surrounding a large solar disk, a cylindrical block of alabaster. (The word hotep means "offering, "satisfied" or "peace".)  The entire altar exhibits harmonic resonance properties when sound is used to activate the vibrations. This, and Andrea's lapis crystal bowl, will assist you to reach higher states of consciousness.

Return to the hotel. Lunch on our own. Cairo - Andrea and Gemel.JPG (153185 bytes)

In the afternoon Andrea will take the group to visit a local aromatherapist to learn about the ancient Egyptian art of scent alchemy. You'll also learn which oils assist to enliven particular chakras, as well as medicinal uses of some of them. You’ll be able to purchase the essential oils to take with you on the journey to charge them up at the sacred temples and pyramids. Andrea says, "Our aromatherapist, who is my dear spiritual brother of many years, may offer a short psychic reading to each member of the group. He’s one of the best I’ve ever encountered, so if you opt for one, be ready! He’ll be accurate and to the point, and will tell you what he 'sees' for your best and highest good."

Dinner tonight is in Nazlet el Saman at the archeologists restaurant located at the foot of the Giza plateau, with an extraordinary view of the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx. Return to the hotel.
Overnight Giza. 4**** Cataract Pyramids Resort

Day 9. Saturday, December 8. Giza Plateau: Private Entrance - Great Pyramid; Khan el Khalili; Citadel & Mokkatam Quarry (B/L/D)Egypt-GreatPyramid-GrandGallery-Orbs.jpg (11372 bytes)
We're off after breakfast with Gigal to visit the Giza Plateau, specifically the boat pits and the Solar Boat Museum. Afterwards we have our private entrance into the Great Pyramid arranged for you by Gigal and Sacred Sites Journeys. Gigal, Jan Peter and Andrea will present various theories about the history, building and use of this ancient enigmatic structure, the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that is still standing today. As we climb up through the Ascending Passage and the Grand Gallery, watch out for Orbs - a sure sign that Light Beings are with us!

Egypt-GreatPyramid-KingsChamber.jpg (7129 bytes)We enter the King's Chamber for our Meditation and Initiation in the Higher Light Frequencies, a powerful ascension experience! In our private space away from the crowds, you will experience the ancient spiritual energies that are still palpable in this enigmatic edifice. Through meditation and sound resonance, you will be able to connect with more of your higher frequencies and open yourself to this final initiation experience during our event. Andrea will play her lapis crystal bowl to assist you in connecting with and integrating the resonant frequencies during our
pivotal Meditation & Initiation.

Egypt-Cairo-AlabasterMosque.jpg (6753 bytes)

We then head towards Cairo. Lunch with the group. Afterwards our afternoon visit takes us to Citadel of Saladin in Old Cairo that was for 700 years the strategic stronghold for Cairo, overlooking the city, and easy to defend. In it there are some museums, palaces, and three mosques, including The Mohammed Ali Mosque, or Alabaster Mosque, one of Cairo's most famous landmarks.

Our last stop for the day is at the top of the Mokkatam quarry. Then it's on to dinner at in Khan el Khalili at a restaurant that is an old Arabic palace. Later evening return to the hotel.
Overnight Giza. 4**** Cataract Pyramids Resort

Day 10. Sunday, December 9.
Giza Plateau: Exploration of the Plateau & Private Entrance to the Sphinx; Cairo Museum; Farewell Dinner (B/L/D)
After breakfast we leave for our last exciting day in Egypt. First we visit the Giza Plateau again, making an extensive visit to the 2nd Pyramid of Khafre (or Chephren) and the 3rd pyramid of Menkaure, with entrances if they are open. Discussion to include the latest discoveries and new evidence for a complete new vision of the dating of these monuments. Gigal will reveal many theories and facts, sparking more discussion about the history and construction of these very ancient monuments that still dazzle our minds and hearts today! Egypt-Sphinx2.jpg (10626 bytes)

Our final private entrance for the journey is between the paws of the enigmatic Sphinx. With Gigal we'll explore theories demonstrating that the Sphinx is very ancient, and possibly built by the Ancient Ones, the pre-dyanstic Egyptians. To read two fascinating articles written by Gigal as a result of her research about the Sphinx ,visit An Undiscovered Sphinx of Giza, Part I and An Undiscovered Sphinx of Giza, Part II   We'll also explore other theories about the Sphinx, such as those of Dr. Robert Schoch, whose work involving the water erosion on the body of this monument shows that it's at least 7,500 to 8,000 years old. As well as the work of other researchers.

Andrea will lead the group in a meditation to connect with the enigmatic and timeless energies of the oldest known statue on our planet. Perhaps your "psychic archaeology" will tap into these mysteries and unlock the secrets about who carved this ageless edifice out of the surrounding bedrock - and when!

Egypt-Cairo-Museum.jpg (7594 bytes)Our group lunch today is at a restaurant in Giza. Then we visit the Cairo Museum with Gigal, followed by free time to explore the vast collection of artifacts dating back to antiquity, including those from the different periods of ancient Egypt - pre, Old, Middle, & New Kingdoms. One of the highlights of the visit for many people is the visit to the famous and priceless treasures of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. You can see for example, the intricate workmanship and the tiniest details of the contents of the articles packed for this boy Pharaoh to accompany him to the next world. Maybe during your time at the museum you will feel that special energetic pull to a former time and life as you gaze at some of the artifacts.

Return to the hotel. Free time.
Farewell Dinner at the hotel, during which we’ll share about our transformative experiences here in our beloved Egypt.

Thank you for this fabulous trip through the Past and Future , for the discovery of incredible sites far from the classical tourist attractions and for my initiation to the knowledge of Ancient Egypt"

Outside the mysteries of Ancient Egypt I have two questions after this fantastic Tour: -"How do you manage to get time for you to do everything? - When do you sleep? Thank you for everything and don't change!
Nicolas F., France

A FEW WORDS FROM FORMER Sacred Sites Journeys TRAVELERS TO EGYPT:

Egypt-Aswan-MichelleH-June2011.jpg (10400 bytes)Every now and then your life takes an amazing turn into unexpected enchantment. My trip to Egypt with Sacred Sites Journeys was one of them. Thanks to Andrea, Vivian and all my new (or perhaps old) Sisters who shared this fantastic journey. I will cherish the memory always. Michelle H. - Australia

I felt totally safe everywhere we went. Andrea is particular about the people who work for her and they are all good people. The highlight of the trip for me was the spiritual experiences. The many ceremonies Andrea led us through assisted me in feeling vibrationally ligher,
as did the energy spots, the sacred places here in Egypt. Thank you Andrea for a well-planned trip to bring about the most sacred experiences. I am truly grateful
. Donna H. - Canada

Great trip! Wonderful way to see Egypt and its ancient wonders for a first-time explorer. Adding to that, the spiritual practices and knowledge imported to us by Andrea and Vivian brought the Gods and Goddesses to life. The energy in the temples must be experienced. It's beyond anything one could possibly imagine. Life-changing for sure. Through this Sacred Sites Journeys tour I've developed a love and connection with Egypt and its people that reaches to the depths of my heart and soul. Truly a transforming and fulfilling journey.
Kathleen B. - USA

This Sacred Sites Journey to Egypt was so well organized, in all ways. I was taken care of individually in my spiritual and personal process during the tour. Andrea finds the very strong power spots. The meditations at them were powerful. It was fantastic to feel my own connection to the Gods and Goddesses. And the whole group was together in a sweet and loving atmosphere. Lone K. - Denmark

It is so hard to put into words my experience of this journey, yet I sum it up with - It was worth the 20+ years wait. From my first enquiry viaEgypt-Karnak-PameP-June2011.jpg (5913 bytes) email to Andrea I had all my questions, concerns, requests and guidance answered quickly. This tour was such an amazing experience. A top professional company. Vivian, our tour guide extraordinaire is a loving, giving, strong and supportive woman. She took care of us over and above her 'duties'.   Andrea's assistants in Egypt were all warm and professional. As for the 'journey', I had high expectations. And I leave the tour with all and more than I could ever even expected. Andrea, Vivian and the group connected as Sisters so quickly, which is acknowledgment of how spiritually sacred sites operate. I have had so many amazing spiritual experiences. I have definitely flown!
Andrea, you are a loving and strong Light, like Sekhmet. My dear Sisters, you sit in my heart. Thanks is too small a word for what I feel towards you all. I would and will be recommending Sacred Sites Journeys. AWESOME!
"
Pame P. - Australia

Egypt-LKramer.jpg (4414 bytes)I am finally "back". It took me more than a week to become familiar with this new, expanded self.  I woke up every night at 1:30 am to have breakfast (starving!)  I feel very quiet inside and at peace.  I want to thank Andrea for her gentle guidance and wisdom, her beauty as a person and for her commitment to the work.  Of course, I am still integrating and learning from the energies we received in Egypt, but so far as I can describe it, these energies are of an exquisite nature, very refined.  It is amazing that what was created in ancient times is today a calling for the world to transform.  How is this possible in the middle of such noise, dense population, dirt, etc., for these energies to just BE and CREATE change?  I love the mysteries - I love life!  People ask me "what was your favorite part?"  I stop to reflect, and all I can say is "everything!"   Egypt came in a package, and all of it was experiential.  I can't wait to go back. Liz K - MDEgypt-SPolanco.jpg (10789 bytes)

Egypt was the most magical and enlightening trip I have been on in the last several years. Andrea's expertise in calling in the energies of each site with sacred ceremony and chant made it very easy to accept the healing powers that were offered. The Grand Finale of being in the Great Pyramid for our private closing ceremony is an experience beyond words! Sandra P - NC

I felt throughout our journey that everyone treated us as VIPs. I will use your service in the future. Andrea is the best!
Nancy S - AK

Egypt-SSmith.jpg (13052 bytes)The sacred journey to Egypt with Andrea was a beautiful experience, capturing the wonders of this ancient country, the hospitality and kindness of its people, and the essences of what one can only possibly perceive as ancient Egyptian spirituality and esotericism. The journey was as much about the outer work as it was the inner work. Andrea held space for all the tour participants to experience Egypt on many levels - from visits to the temples and sites to a deeper appreciation of our own inner temples. Our Egyptian guide/Egyptologist captured the beauty of ancient Egypt and remained enthusiastically supportive of each of our individual journeys. She became the group's Egyptian guardian. A lovely memory from Abydos reminds me of the unique blending of cultures, religions, and spirituality, which transpired over the course of those magical days together. Inside an exquisite antechamber, some of the group participants began chanting. We moved from chants of the Goddess to Christian mysticism to other traditions. We asked our guide to chant something from the Koran, which she did with kindness and enthusiasm. The temple guards joined her and then asked why she chanted from the Koran. She explained our request to them. In that moment, our beliefs were no different. All was experienced as One. Again and again, this type of magic happened throughout Egypt. And this magic brought wonder. And that magic also gave me a kick in the behind when needed. The journey was transformative. My life continues to transform as a result of the many gifts I received during that pilgrimage. Life cannot be the same after Egypt - thankfully so. Steve S, MBA, MA - Dream Therapist - CA

Andrea is an excellent tour director and our Egyptologist was an exceptional guide! Michael B - CA

What a rejuvenating trip. Instead of coming home tired, I came home super charged with energy. Instead of being "done" after I got back, it lit a fire in me that I hope never goes out. The power of the pyramids is phenomenal. The temple sites speak to you in a language that only the soul can interpret. When a journey like this sparks a beginning rather than an ending, you know you've transcended the sands of time. There are no more barriers. Joanne D, MN

The trip to Egypt exceeded all my expectations. The November weather was perfect with hot sunny days and cool nights. Each site was aEgypt-LRen.jpg (3858 bytes) gem and worth a longer, repeat visit. The carvings, hieroglyphs and paintings went beyond sheer beauty to offer layer upon layer of meaning. I appreciated the way Andrea and our guides managed our visits so we could get some "private time" in these very special places. I felt like I was both healed by and contributed to the healing of these ancient holy places as we toned and meditated in them. Our Egyptian guides were fantastic, providing insights and inspiring a deeper curiosity. Andrea, Vivian, Yousef and Patricia created and held a sacred space where we could all learn. I enjoyed my "Journey Sisters" as much as the journey itself. Everyone brought a special gift for the group. - Lilith R, DC

Our sacred tour to Egypt was the most exciting, exhilarating experience for spiritual growth & expansion. Egypt is definitely the place to go to bring back knowledge of your past. It's an experience that all humanity must experience. The metaphysical Egyptologist and Tour Escort accomplished everything they said they would and provided it with passion. We were treated like kings and queens. The accommodations were 5 * - providing us with great views, food, pleasant service. Visiting all the different sites was spellbinding. - Michael C - Canada

I loved the Sacred Journey to Egypt! I had a great time! Andrea and her staff did a wonderful job! I want to go back!
Dottie D - CA

I'd love to write an eloquent commentary about my awesome trip to Egypt with Andrea and our group. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to stuff my profound spiritual and emotional experiences into the limited confines of words. I'll simply say that healing and freedom that began there continues to unfold. I am deeply grateful for all my experiences and I am eager for my next journey to Egypt with Andrea!
Patricia C, IL

What a wonderful journey it was to Egypt.  It was even more than what I expected.  Andrea, you did a phenomenal job!  Thank you again for the wonderful journey.  It is truly one I will never forget.  Dianne C - MO

The Sacred Journey to Egypt was fabulous! Thanks to our Ceremonialist Andrea Pinkham and our Egyptologist for all the positive energy!
Ginny C - CA

Upon meeting Andrea and discussing the upcoming journey to Egypt I knew deeply in my soul that this was an experience of a lifetime and Andrea was the person I was to be led through this sacred land with.  I fail completely with words in attempting to describe the profound and life changing circumstances that occurred in Egypt and as an aftermath of Egypt. Three months later I am still processing and feeling the healing energies of our journey. My life will never be as it was, as this journey granted me clarity, courage, release of past wounds, an ability to receive love with a heightened ease and grace, and an expansion of spirit that can only be achieved via real experience.  I have found that real change touches on a much deeper level when I am away from all the "knowns" in life which keep me defined.  Andrea holds the space for genuine transformation to occur by creating a "safe" environment for body, mind, and soul.  She is a woman of great strength, knowledge, intuition and patience.  My heart is forever full and grateful for this magnificent experience.  From every part of me ~ Thank You. Lea M - CA

About Comparing Our Prices to Other Companies
While you may find other companies offering spiritual journeys to Egypt at lower prices,
I caution you not to compare our Sacred Sites Journey with them,
as you'll be comparing "apples to oranges".

redball.gif (144 bytes) While other companies might appear to be offering the same trip, in reality they are very different than what we're offering  you,
and that what we're offering you is much better.

For example: Even though these companies might advertise that they're using 4* and 5* hotels like we are,
please know that there could be a great deal of difference between the standards of their choices and ours.
The designations of 4* and 5* only mean that that certain amenities are offered.
They do not refer to the cleanliness of the rooms/bathrooms, the hygiene of the food, or the professionalism of the staff.
I can assure you that the hotels that you will experience on our journeys are top notch in all of these areas.

redball.gif (144 bytes) Our ground operator in Egypt in one of the oldest and most well-established companies in the country,
with over 30 years of experience.
Because they have excellent contacts with the hotels, they are able to book the best rooms for our clients,
and most importantly, at reduced rates.
They own their own fleet of six cruise ships, which they keep extremely well maintained,
refurbishing each one at least every two years, if not more often.

redball.gif (144 bytes) The merchants we take you to visit during your journey are all family-owned establishments
that stand behind their products 100%. They take credit cards and will even ship your purchases home to you.
And if you have any problems with them later on, SSJ and our ground operator will help you to solve them to your satisfaction.

I have been leading spiritual journeys to Egypt since 2000.
The November/December 2012 Journey with Antoine Gigal will be the 19th one I've operated and led.

dollar_sign.gif (3278 bytes)
I am positive that the quality of service and pricing that Sacred Sites Journeys offers to you
for your Sacred Journey of Initiation to Egypt CANNOT BE BEAT!
Remember the old adage: You get what you pay for.
With SSJ you pay a very fair price for the best service!
